Monday is Day 3: Library
Report Cards went home today.
Please sign the envelope and return it
to school.
Conferences will be held at night
on Wednesday, March 9th and all day
and night on Thursday, March 10th.
Students will not have school that
Thursday or Friday. Please sign up for
a conference online via the Time To
Sign Up. Once it closes, you will need
to schedule your conference by
phoning the main office.
If your child is going to be absent or
late, please call the absentee
hotline prior to 9am.

DIVING INTO LEARNING
The big news of the week was celebrating Read
Across America Day! The children wore pajamas
and crazy socks, and participated in Dr. Seussthemed center activities.
Writing Workshop/Science: We wrote more lab
reports using the scientific method. We are
discovering that we learn something, even if our
original hypothesis is disproved.
Math: We began Topic 8, which focuses on time
and money. Please allow your child the
opportunity to practice telling time and to count
a handful of change.
Reading Workshop: We have returned to nonfiction. This time, we will delve even deeper into
how to best read, and learn from, this genre.
