Application Note Cisco 3640 - PBX Interoperability: Ericsson MD-110 PBX with Cisco CallManager using Analog FXS and FXO Interfaces as an MGCP Gateway Introduction • This application note describes the interoperability of an Ericsson MD-110 PBX with Cisco CallM anager using Cisco 3640 analog FXS/FXO interfaces as an MGCP gateway. • The network topology diagram shows the end-to-end interoperability. • Connectivity is achieved by connecting the analog FXO loop start voice port on the MGCP gateway to a loop start phone line (POTS) port on Ericsson MD-110 PBX. The PBX analog extension does not support disconnect supervision, which causes trunk hang issues and long ring-no answer times. For more information about disconnect supervision, refer to FXO Answer and Disconnect Supervision at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t2/ft_ansds.htm System Components Hardware Requirements • Cisco 3640 gateway with analog FXS/FXO ports • Cisco Catalyst 3500 switch • Ericsson MD-110 PBX Software Requirements • Cisco IOS Software Release c3640-js-mz.122-2.XN • PBX Software Version CXP1010001/3/BC11SP8/R4A • Cisco CallManager 3.2 Configuration Configuring the Ericsson MD-110 PBX ----------Ericsson PBX switch version-------------------------------<CADAP; CALENDAR DATA IDENTITY=D+S-EURO-TEST VERSION=CXP1010001/3/BC11SP8/R4A 14:53:12 FRI 27 SEP 2002 END ---------Telephone COS, Restrictions, Naming conventions, etc.-------Analog ports: <EXDDP:DIR=ALL; EXTENSION DIRECTORY DATA DIR 1051 1052 1053 1054 1055 CUST EQU CAT TYPE ICAT 001-0-50-00 001-0-50-01 001-0-50-02 001-0-50-03 001-0-50-04 0 0 0 0 0 EL6 EL6 EL6 EL6 EL6 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 AUX © 2002 Cisco Systems, Inc.
