OBJECTIVE: SWBAT work in groups to research a particular part of Theatre History and create
a Visual Project (in the form they choose: poster(s), power point, interactive power point, or other as modeled in class) with a supporting Oral Presentation that will be presented in class in the
order in which they occur in the following handout.
CREATING the Project: Use this booklet as a outline from which to prepare your Visual Project
in the form you choose and write your Oral Presentation to accompany the Visual Project.
REMEMBER: The Visual Project should highlight the Oral Presentation. The Oral Presentation
should NOT be included on the Visual Project, but should add information, explain your visuals,
define terms, and expand on the Visual Project.
OUTLINE: Use the booklet to create your outline of the project and then complete your Oral
Presentation note cards from which to speak (as modeled in class).
NOTE TAKING: You can also use this handout to take notes on the projects that your
classmates will present.
INFORMATION TO BE PRESENTED:
 Suggested information as outlined in the handout

 Important inventions or innovations to theatre architecture and scenic design elements
 Technology used in theatre architecture and scenic design elements
 You MUST include a short assessment of some kind for the class to make sure they understood the important elements of your presentation!
 You MUST include a Works Cited List in MLA Format for your project!
 You may divide up your project among your group in anyway your choose as long as everyone contributes equally to the project.
