SAT Boot Camp! with Mrs. Kuntz
Rules:
 Always use your best manners. Best manners means many things including NO
EARBUDS OR PHONES UNLESS I ASK FOR YOU TO USE THEM. Ignoring
others by looking at your phone or listening to your music is rude.
 Be an active learner! Volunteer!
 Bathroom passes will only be written in the last five minutes of class.
 Be on time – we read/play first!
Materials:
 You will need an SSR book, a folder, and something to write with.
 Your SSR book is an ACTUAL book. You will not be reading on your ipad.
You may not listen to music when you read 
 Always bring your SSR book, folder, and something to write with to class!
Grading:
 Class participation is worth 100 points. Ask and answer questions! Collaborate
with others!
 Quizzes are 30 points. You’ll have a quiz almost every Friday on your SAT
vocabulary. We always do some sort of review before a quiz.
 Homework assignments vary in point values from 5 to 25.
 Late assignments: I won’t accept a late homework assignment (review activity,
etc). I will accept late written work (stories with vocab, periodical criticisms).
The penalty is 10% per day late.

 Improve your skills and comfort level for college entrance exams
 Improve your reading and writing skills for college level courses
 Increase your reading stamina
 Occasionally ENJOY reading, writing, editing, discussing, and thinking!
