employers and IT recruitment firms?
As the network continues to evolve, the demand for professionals who have the skills and training
needed to manage and maintain networks will continue to grow. As a result, matching the right
talent with right jobs will become more imperative than ever. Cisco is undertaking this campaign
to increase awareness of the benefits of hiring certified professionals and to assist employers with
finding the right Cisco Certified professionals.
Research shows that certified professionals bring increased productivity and lower costs to an
organization. In fact, according to the IDC research*, each new certification on a team leads to
increased productivity and the following benefits:
 Unscheduled downtime was 20 percent lower in organizations with more certified professionals
 Budgets spent on external support for network management were 20 percent lower
 Budgets spent on external support for network security were 30 percent lower

Professionals when going through the hiring process?
Recent statistics tell the story of talent development and the transforming employment world:
• By 2018, 40 percent of jobs will be in five industries:

The site features a new, one-of-a-kind tool, the Cisco Certification Job Matrix, which helps
employers and recruitment firms match the right Cisco Certified Professional to the right job
based on their certification type and level of expertise. In addition to the matrix, the site also

• Access to the Cisco Certification verification web site to ensure the candidate you are interested
