January 1941: FDR’s, 4 Freedoms Speech: Preparing the U.S. for potentially joining the war.
March 1941: FDR officially signed the Lend-Lease Act, which grants billions in aid to Britain, U.S.S.R. and China.
April 1941: Greece surrenders to Germany and Italy.
May 1941: The German naval ship, Bismarck sinks in the North Atlantic Ocean.
June 1941: The German army initiates Operation Barbossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union.
August 1941: The Atlantic Charter is signed between the U.S. and Great Britain establishing goals for a post-WWII world.

December 8th, 1941: The U.S. declares war on Japan. Great Britain declares war on Japan.
December 11th, 1941: The Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, Japan) declare war on the United States.
December 23rd, 1941: The U.S. loses to the Japanese at Wake Island in the Pacific.
December 27th, 1941: Manila, capital of the Philippines, falls to Japan.
