Energy can be transformed into different types of
energy

Sources of light energy can be many things: sun,
flashlight, chemicals, bio chemicals, lasers etc.

Light travels in a straight line in a vacuum

Light interacts with different materials and
behaves differently. If an object is opaque,
translucent, transparent light energy will behave
differently. Depending on the material light energy will transmit, reflect
or absorb.

Light energy travels very fast
186,282 miles/second, ----8.3 minutes for sunlight to hit the earth’s
surface and moon’s light to get to earth 1.3 seconds.

The farther away from the source light spreads out
and gets dimmer

When you double the distance from a lightsource the light spreads out four times the area

When you form a shadow in front a light source the closer the object is
to the light the bigger the shadow and the farther away the smaller the
shadow becomes in our labs.
