POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Manager, Curriculum & Instructional Development Exempt CATEGORY: Professional GRADE: F JOB SUMMARY: Serve as the District’s manager for maintaining course and program information for accreditation purposes; coordinate all processes related to the department to meet state standards in accordance with guidelines, policies, and procedures of the District and all matters related to curriculum. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Serve as the lead in communicating curricular changes from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to academic personnel, collecting input for curriculum changes, and ensuring changes are in compliance with accrediting bodies and are reflected in the current College catalog. YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 25% 2. Participate in formulating and implementing departmental goals in conjunction with the District’s strategic goals; develop and monitor Curriculum Office budget and supervise Curriculum Office Staff. 20% 3. Supervise collection, maintenance, and distribution of current inventory of all official course syllabi. 15% 4. Supervise implementation of state regulations regarding WECM (Workforce Education Course Manual) programs and Academic Course Guide Manual, assist in the development of new WECM programs and the revision of established WECM programs. 10% 5. Supervise course development for traditional, online, television, video conferencing, and blended courses to ensure compliance with college and state guidelines. 10% 6. Serve as Curriculum Office liaison to the Curriculum Committee and area higher education institutions and other departments or committees, as appropriate. 10% 7. Assist in editing and proofreading the EPCC Catalog and work closely with instructional divisions, Registrar’s Office, Admission Office, and Publications to ensure academic information published is accurate. 5% 8.
