JOB SUMMARY: Manage the District’s revenue generation financial services, including cashiering,
student receivables (tuition, registration fees, other fees) and other related financial service functions.

1.
Manage the delivery of revenue generating financial services, including
cashiering, accounts receivables (tuition, registration and other fees) and
related service functions and reporting at multi-campus locations.
2.
Meet and advise/counsel EPCC students regarding their financial
responsibilities; communicate/coordinate with external collection agencies for
all outstanding receivables.

3.
Maintain, compile, and reconcile various financial accounts; adjust, prepare
adjusting journal entries; prepare required State and Federal reports that affect
College funding; assist local/state auditors in preparation of annual audits.

4.
Coordinate with other College departments (i.e. Registrar Office, Admissions,
Financial Aid, Counseling, Management Information Systems); assist in
developing adequate financial accounting controls, recommends financial
reporting needs.

5.
Establish and maintain agency relationships; recruit tuition based contracts;
and assist agency representative with billing issues.

Manage and provide operational direction to staff; coordinate orientation,
performance appraisal, coaching/team work, personal and professional
development, conflict resolution; ensure maintenance of positive attitude and
good communications skills.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Comptroller
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct supervision as a first-line supervisor to assigned staff.
BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES: Departmental budget.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in an academic field directly related.

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1.
Skills/Abilities: Good knowledge of current modern principles, practices and methods of
accounting; internal accounting controls, budgeting, fund accounting, generally accepted
accounting principles; knowledge of financial analysis, budgetary planning, reporting
procedures and requirements, computerized accounting and software applications; ability to
coordinate work activities and supervise the work of subordinates; establish and maintain
effective working relationships with other employees, administrators and with various outside
representative from federal, state, and local organizations and ability to communication
effectively both oral and in writing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Duties require little physical effort in work with light (up to 10lbs), easy to handle materials.

and, skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with distractions such as noise,
interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements.
