Dr. Thomas Eberle PT, FAAOMPT Physical Therapist Florida Physical Therapy Association Board of Directors Dr. Eberle is a physical therapist who has served the south Florida community since becoming a licensed physical therapist in 1998, graduating from D’Youville College in his hometown Buffalo, New York. Dr. Eberle continued his studies, completing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2000 with the Ola Grimsby Institute in FT. Lauderdale and then an Orthopedic Fellowship program for the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) through the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2006. Further Dr. Eberle is Kinematic Taping Concept Certified (KTCC) and is one of three of the American faculty in the International Kinematic Taping Association (IKTA). Dr. Eberle currently treats patients at the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Eberle is an adjunct professor at Florida International University, teaching orthopedic physical therapy. He has formulated an eclectic, evidence based manual therapy approach to treating patients which is shared through the curriculum of the various programs offered by his continuing education company, the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FIOMPT). FIOMPT provides post graduate orthopedic physical therapy continuing education and orthopedic certification programs. Dr. Eberle was elected to the Florida Physical Therapy Association Board of Directors in 2013 and appointed to the Florida Automobile Insurance Fraud Strike Force in 2014. Dr. Eberle has published an orthopedic manual for the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic pathologies, is published in several peer reviewed medical journals, and presents research and educational seminars nationally and internationally. In October 2012, Dr. Eberle attended and presented research on the effects of manual therapy and exercise at the International Federation of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (IFOMPT) in Quebec City, Ontario. In 2013 he was the key note speaker at an orthopedic conference hosted by the Sedes Sapientiae Catholic University in Lima, Peru. Dr. Eberle is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and an active Fellow in AAOMPT. Dr. Eberle resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with his wife who also is a doctor of physical therapy. They enjoy travelling, cooking, and the arts, being at the beach, and staying active.
