11 ways that you can help the RTM community reach its $1 Million goal:
1. Register your team on our website and raise funds through your family, friends and
employer.
2. Register as an individual and come out to walk the track to show your support in
the fight against cancer. 3. If you are a cancer survivor, register to participate in special activities to honor all
survivors and walk the first lap to kick off the Relay. Our goal is to honor 100 Survivors
from our community. 4. Volunteer - Many volunteers are needed to plan the event and also assist at the
event. Opportunities include publicity, sponsorship, ACS mission, survivorship,
fundraising, team registration, and more. Use your talents to support a great cause. 5. Become a Sponsor - Much of our success has resulted from area businesses, like
The Bates Motel and Iron Workers Bank, becoming sponsors, donating their time and
promoting the event to their employees and staff. Many levels of sponsorship are
available with great benefits to the sponsoring company. 6. Decorate your business in purple (the official Relay color) and provide customers
and clients with information about the event. 7. Bring family and friends to the event on the 17th to enjoy the festivities. Vendors at
the event will be making a donation to the American Cancer Society to support our
community Relay. 8. Talk about the event to your family, friends and business associates. Spread the
word and ask for their participation. 9. “Like” and “Share” our Facebook page - “Rose Tree Media - Roar For the Cure”
10. Ask the people you do business with to become a sponsor or make a donation your hairdresser, barber, gas station manager, favorite restaurant, landscaping
company, car repair shop, etc. 11. Dedicate a luminaria candle to be lighted at a ceremony at dusk which honors
loved ones affected by cancer. (see our website home page for details)
