What is Mustangs Summer Day Camp like?
What is a Mustangs Sports Camp like?
Sports participation and physical fitness are of
the utmost importance at Mustangs Summer
Day Camp. Each child will have multiple
opportunities to play sports and learn about
fitness. Simple games like frisbee or four square
teach children how to work with others and
achieve goals. More complex team sports like
basketball or soccer teach children the value of
fair play and sportsmanship.
The Mustangs Sports Camps are specialty
sports training sessions that allow campers to
spend time focused on one particular sport.
When signed up for a Mustangs Sports Camp,
campers will spend four hours each day training
with college-level coaches and players. Our
coaches and players are great with kids and
have a vast amount of experience and
knowledge in training children.
Counselors are trained to help campers build
self-confidence, encourage their peers and
advance
their
skills
using
positive
reinforcement, praise for effort and guidance
towards improvement.
Campers will be divided into groups based on
both age and skill level to ensure maximum
benefit and performance. The camps offer
personal instruction, drills, stations, games and
contests.
Campers will enjoy a variety of activities each
day, including team and individual sports,
playground games, movies, team work games
and free play. Campers will also have the
opportunity to participate in bonus activities,
including
Pizza Fridays, and Weekly
Tournament.
Parents may sign their children up for Mustangs
Sports Camps a la carte, or as part of a
Summer Day Camp sign up option. The stand
alone cost of each Mustangs Sports Camp is
$125 per camper. In conjunction with a Summer
day Camp sign up, the cost is reduced to $65
per camper. Please see the sign up sheet for a
listing of Mustangs Sports Camps offerings.
Juniors Camp is for students ages
5-9. Campers will participate in fitness, sports
and activities that are age appropriate, noncompetitive, and, most importantly, FUN!

role models for the younger campers and
display exemplary attitudes at all times.
CITs help the counselors run camp activities
and instruct the campers in a positive support
role. An application form is required for
application to the CIT Program. Interviews
may be requested as well. In addition to daily
duties, CITs have many privileges at camp,
including free time, camp shirts and bonus
activity sessions.
