MCIU BOARD MEETING/APRIL 22, 2015
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit met on April 22, at its new facility on Fayette
Street in Norristown.
On April 24th the IU celebrated the dedication of the new IU Building. It was certainly a festive
occasion.
The board spent the evening ratifying agreements, adding staff, and preparing for the 15-16
summer programs and school year. Most importantly the IU Board approved the position
descriptions for Program Administrators for Instructional Technology, Literacy, Math, Science,
Engineering and Technology STEM, Training and Consulting; and related services.
Of the many ratified, of interest to us is a technology services agreement to upgrade our
Discovery Education Streaming to Plus Services. Also, acceptance of the fixed rate discount
bids for the Montgomery School Entities Joint Purchasing Board.
The next MCIU Board Meeting is May27th, 2015.
