Course Title: Flexible Manufacturing
Session Title: Come Join Our Team
Performance Objective:
After completing this lesson, the students will be able to identify the types of manufacturing
done in Flexible Manufacturing industries and employer work expectations to the satisfaction of
the teacher.
Specific Objectives:
The students will be able to:
 name three types of metal industries included in Flexible Manufacturing.
 list and explain four employers’ work expectations for an employee.
 prepare a Flexible Manufacturing Application.
 develop a work schedule using time management techniques.
 explain measurement of a team’s task results.
 list four tasks that can be measured in a team setting.

SAY: Today we are going to look at what manufacturing areas are contained in Flexible
Manufacturing.
ASK: What industries do you think would be included?
SAY: In this lesson, we will be covering the metals portion of Flexible Manufacturing.
SAY: The term “Flexible Manufacturing” could also include the plastic industries.
SAY: We will be looking at what employers expect out of their employees and how teamwork
can be used to accomplish a specified goal.
