Roll up your sleeves! Create masterpieces using your imagination. Have fun trying out these ART PROJECTS Colorful capers Beautiful colors cheer us up and make our day bright and vibrant, so get creative and collect pictures matching the colors and put them in your scrap book of “cool colors”. Paste some red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, black and white things. Family collage Work with the child to make a “family collage” by pasting photos of the members, do write the names of the members, then point out to each picture and ask your child to name the member. Paper Bag Me Puppet Give your child a white paper bag and a hand mirror, allow the child to look at himself in the mirror and draw the features on their face on the white paper bag. Family Project Fill in the following Name of your child- is special to mummy and daddy because: __________________ _______________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________ (read it to your child please)( Use a separate A 4 pastel paper for this activity). Carrot foot print Make a cut out of a carrot on a pastel sheet. Help your ward to do the footprinting on the cutout. (Use an A-4 pastel paper) Playful Pre Writing Fun Button Activity Material needed : A-4 colored paper , buttons ( medium sized 6-8), colored thick markers. Method : Paste the buttons on the paper few inches away from one another, lightly drawn penciled lines from one button to another. Some lines can be straight- vertical/horizontal, zig-zag, slanting, curvy etc. your child will trace over the lines with markers to connect to the buttons. (Use an A-4 pastel paper). My Name Activity Pre- Print your child’s name on an A-4 pastel paper in print script. Provide sorters ( shapes, macroni, rajma or finger printing for them to cover the letters of their name with) Fireless cooking activity Let’s make them ‘little chefs’ . Put on your chef’s cap and get going in the kitchen and make “delicious delights”. Help your child prepare any one sweet/salty snack. Discuss the steps in sequence to make it. Remember to click the photographs while the little chef is at work. ( paste them in the scrap book) Exciting Experiments Open the door to these magic moments of discovery, enjoy them with your parents, siblings and friends. Water fun activity- find out if a filled water balloon sinks or floats, a pumpkin , ice cube etc. Play with sponges and water outside and learn about absorption (remember to click the photographs of the young scientist in making) Help your child to take care of ‘Personal hygiene’ Brushing teeth twice daily. Combing hair regularly. Bathing everyday. Washing hands before and after meals. Trimming the nails and keeping them clean. Make your child independent by inculcating the following life skills.
