Cancellation policy:
Cancel up to two weeks before the confirmed assessment date and you will receive a refund less a $25 administrative fee.
Cancellations less than two weeks (14 days) before the confirmed assessment are non-refundable. Rescheduling requests
must be accompanied by a $25 rescheduling fee. Rescheduling less than two weeks before the assessment will be considered
a new booking, and will require payment of the full assessment fee.

Each manuscript assessment meeting will be 50 minutes. A maximum of 15 double-spaced pages may
be submitted. Please provide the manuscript to the Writing and Publishing Program office at least two
weeks before the consultation. See below for monthly deadlines. Submissions may be made
electronically by email or hard copy may be delivered. Please number and include your name, title and
page number on each page.
Evelyn Lau will read your manuscript (15 pages maximum) prior to the scheduled 50-minute
assessment meeting. She will provide editorial guidance on the direction of the work, along with
publication guidance, advice and other insight into the writing life. She can also suggest how to work
with editors and publishers and answer other questions you may have about the field. Evelyn has
written in several genres, including poetry, non-fiction and fiction.
