Dear all
I am trying to simulate lamb wave propagation in 2D thin aluminium plate (length 580mm and
thickness 1 mm) by using a PZT actuator in Abaqus. I have modelled the aluminium plate and pzt
actuator both and applied the tie constraint between the upper surface of the plate and lower surface of
the PZT actuator. An Element size of 0.1 mm and time step of 50 ns is used for 100 kHz center
frequency with 50V excitation is applied at the top surface of PZT actuator. Geometric boundaries at
both end nodes of plate are fixed.
I animate the simulation but I am unable to see any wave propagation in the plate.
