From: To: Subject: debbiekennett@aol.com bbc_complaints_website@bbc.co.uk BBC Complaints - Case number CAS-2007140-CPJS07 Complaint Summary: Promotion of unpublished company research Full Complaint: This programme featured an interview with Alistair Moffat from ScotlandsDNA focusing on new "research" from his commercial company. Scientific research is normally published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. This research only appears to have been published in a company press release. This is one of many occasions where the BBC has provided free advertising for Alistair Moffat and has publicised the unscientific research from his companies BritainsDNA and ScotlandsDNA. Such actions severely compromise the BBC's integrity and independence.
