The purpose of this proposal is to convert this course to an official PEB course catalog offering. Learning Outcomes: The student will learn the basic techniques involved in cardio boxing. The class will teach an efficient method for achieving and maintaining physical fitness. Learning In Class Activities: Proper technique for punches, kicks, strikes, progressing to combinations. Proper heavy bag technique. Build cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength and endurance with conditioning drills and circuit training. Teach core training with balance and stabilization exercises. Learning Out of class activities: Attend and organized KBA (Kick Boxers Association), Attend an organized MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) competition on television, Practice activities and exercises taught in class, Work out in the Fitness Center to increase muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.
