more challenging exercises and repertoire. Students will review and practice correct technique and form for strength,

Proposal Summary
Explain the purpose for this proposal:
Intermediate Pilates has been taught as a Special Topics course for several semesters. Enrollment has been strong each
semester and an indication of student interest. This proposal establishes Intermediate Pilates as a regular course in the
catalog. LEARNING OUTCOMES: To understand the difference between Beginning Pilates moves and Intermediate Pilates
moves. To find and adapt and understand neutral spine. To perform a minimum of 6 intermediate Pilates moves correctly.
To perform a range of intermediate Pilates moves in sequence. Identify the anatomy and terminology used in Intermediate
mat Pilates. Out of class pilates practice: An improved sense of balance, fitness and an awareness of new core control; An
understanding of using Pilates in everyday life; A calmer disposition from practicing Pilates
