CONTROLLER’S OFFICE UPDATES: WHAT’S NEW IN FLASHLINE FINANCE REPORTS AND YEAR END REMINDER Presented by Melissa Cope, Financial Accounting BAS Forum: 2/13/13 Multiple Index Budget Summary Report Report Purpose: To provide the same information available in the Budget Summary report, but for multiple indexes. *Allows for multiple budget summary reports to be generated by entering prompt information once. Report Source: The report is written in Cognos which is pulling data from Internet Native Banner (INB) nightly. Comparable real-time time data can be found by viewing Banner form FGIBDST. Multiple Index Budget Summary Report Accessing the Flashline Finance Reports: 1. Login to Flashline http://www.kent.edu/ 2. Select the “My Action Items” tab 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page 4. Look in the middle section, titled Finance Reports. 5. Select Multiple Index Budget Summary (the 2nd selection) Multiple Index Budget Summary Report – Prompt Page Multiple Index Budget Summary Report Prompt Page: 1. Select the department organization code or codes 2. Click “Reprompt” 3. Select the index or indexes 4. Select the Fiscal Year 5. Select the Fiscal Period 6. Click Finish Multiple Index Budget Summary Report – Prompt Page 2 1 3 4 5 6 Multiple Index Budget Summary Report - Output Report output: Format Options * HTML Format: The report automatically produces an HTML view (web view). For each index, a budget summary report view is produced. Page Down to view all indexes. The output reports are in sequential index number order. *PDF Format: Once in HTML view (web view), the option is available to extract the output reports in PDF. Again, for each index, a budget summary report view is produced. Scroll down the PDF document to view each index and the corresponding budget summary report. Remember, the drill through feature is available in the PDF view. Multiple Index Budget Summary Report - Output Report output: Format Options * Excel Format: Once in HTML view (web view), the option is available to extract the output reports in Excel. For each Index and corresponding budget summary report, a new tab is created in the Excel workbook. Please note, the drill through feature is unavailable when view reports in Excel.
