Installation Instructions Model # TSC30-NA INS # TSC30-NA – 3.5” LCD Color Touchscreen Introduction The LCD color touch screen is a flexible device which provides an intuitive “user friendly” method of including menu driven control functions of the iLumin control system. The LCD touch screen provides flexibility of system control to allow end users to decide what they want to see and how they see it. Completely software based, programs and images can be tailored to incorporate building plans, photos or 3D graphics to further customize the display. The touch screen can also be used to provide control of other integrated systems. Mounting Instructions The touchscreen requires an external power supply. A PELV / Class 2 power supply has been provided for this purpose. Connect the PELV / Class 2 power supply to a 120VAC power circuit and to the touchscreen as shown in the installation diagram. The PELV / Class 2 power supply can be mounted in the provided wallbox. Connect the iCANnet Belden 1502 to the provided network terminal block as depicted in the installation diagram. This network should be daisy chained, not T-Tapped to the device. If the Touchscreen is located at the end of the iCANnet network, please ensure that the termination resistor provided with the product is wired between the CAN-H and CAN-L wire terminals on the terminal block. If the device is located in the middle of the network, remove the provided termination resistor. USB Connector Network Programming Dimensions 5.50” (146mm) Mounting Screws RJ12 Socket Touchscreen Programming The unit should be installed in a dry location, where ambient temperature and humidity are within the operating limits of the unit. To avoid damage to the display, it is recommended that the touchscreen is installed after painting/wallpapering has been done. The low voltage touchscreen should be mounted horizontally using the supplied custom wallbox. The supplied wallbox dimensions are (5.24” x 3.00” x 1.89”). 3.25” (86mm) Mounting Instructions Cabling/Termination Programming Other Devices Hot – brown 9V PELV / Class 2 Power Supply Neutral – blue 500mA minimum, 1 Amp recommended A programming port that allows access to the complete network from the iCANsoft program is available from the front of the touchscreen. This allows the commissioning agent to easily access all devices on the network. To program devices on the network, connect a PC Node to the RJ12 socket. NNote: The sockets are concealed behind the metal coverplate. This can be removed easily by unclipping from one side. Care and Maintenance The cover plate should only be cleaned gently with a clean damp cloth. Abrasive cleaners, polishes, solvent based cleaning agents or alkali based cleaners should not be used. Programming the TSC30 Color Touchscreen Using iCANsoft or the Touchscreen Editor Software, the commissioning agent will program the pages in the touchscreen. Downloading the configuration is done via the USB connector.
