Production Feasibility Agreement (PFA)

 Who:

 Applies to all Suppliers quoting product on ECPS prints

 Responsibility: o ECPS Purchasing Representative – providing to supplier o Supplier – completion of form o Engineering/Supplier Quality – Review, Update as needed, Approve

 What:

 To provide a formal process for confirming all print requirements and specifications, identification of print concerns and complete understanding of design requirements at the time of RFQ.

 When:

 Purchasing requests Feasibility Agreements for all ECPS print at time of quote, or anytime a print is revised due to design changes.

 Where:

 Form-Training is Available in Q-Pulse and on the Supplier Information Website.

 Why:

 To confirm that the supplier has received, reviewed and understood all requirements prior to manufacturing

 To address all issues early to avoid later disputes

 Provides historical record of design requirements review

PFA Key Take-Aways

 All suppliers quoting business on production material must provide a PFA.

 All CTQ’s (special characteristics) must be listed, identified and confirmed on the PFA.

 The PFA must be performed by all potential suppliers providing a FINAL quote.

 Every dimension, feature and note is to be listed and verified as “OK” on the agreement to confirm the supplier has reviewed and agreed to each requirement.

 Any exception to any requirement on or implied by the part print must be identified as Not OK on the PFA or it will be considered non-conforming.

PFA Key Take-Aways

 All products must address any additional concerns expressed through schematics, BOM, specifications, notes, reference or assembly drawings.

 The supplier must complete a separate PFA for all revisions or part number changes. (May limit updates to original PFA to address only what changed since last submission.

Business Award cannot occur until all exceptions have been resolved by Engineering/Supplier Quality.

 ECN’s that affect purchased product require PFA review for changes since last RFQ based on drawing updates.
