Carlos C Solari VP, Quality Assurance, Security and Reliability Murray Hill, New Jersey Carlos Solari joined Alcatel-Lucent as Bell Labs Security Solutions Vice President in April 2006 recently transitioning to an expanded role in Quality Assurance – Security and Reliability within the Quality Assurance and Customer Care organization. In this role, Carlos leads a broad scope team defining and implementing these respective practices from design, development and delivery of information communications technologies. Carlos brings extensive experience in the field of information systems management, security and reliability as applied in the domains of homeland security, law enforcement, public safety and defense; with over 29 years in various government and private industry positions, including 13 years as an officer in the U.S. Army and more than 6 years as a senior executive with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. From 2002 to 2005 he served as Chief Information Officer for the Executive Office of the President - the White House. Within Alcatel-Lucent Carlos has led a team of innovators who are experts in the field of reliability and security. This innovation is now serving to transform the practice of how reliability and security are applied within the overall context of quality assurance. His extensive experience in the field where information systems deliver the businessenabling functions allows him to draw the activities of his team with closer affinity to the customers of the company. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia with a BS in Biology (1979), and the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California; MS in Systems Technologies (1990).
