Professor Alistair Barros is Global Research Leader at SAP Research leading its R&D flagship, Internet of Services, which is contribting to
SAP's strategy and solutions in On-Demand/Cloud Computing. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Queensland and is an Adjunct
Professor with Queensland University of Technology. He has 23 years experience and has contributed to a number of international standards efforts (including BPMN 2.0), technical references (patterns in the BPM field), product transfers, patents and strategic commercial consultancies including Boeing, Queensland Government and Australian
Defence. As highlights, he had leadership roles in the Smart Services
Queensland's one-stop citizens service delivery system and SAP's BPM solution, Galaxy. He has also contributed to the acquisition of
Australian Research Council projects, the Australian Cooperative
Research Centre on Smart Services and European Union projects, with around 250 million EUR in public R&D funding.
