Objective: Build a layered composite structure and repair structure damage
Provided Material:

Core material

Composite fabrics and tapes

Matrix

Vinyl bagging, wax, peel ply, breather material, layup tape and bagging
equipment

Respirator
Instructions:
1.
Cut a 8” X 6” core and bevel the edges to a 45° angle
2.
Cut 12” X10” pieces of fabrics and tape.
3.
Apply layup tape on aluminum bagging sheet
4.
Wax aluminum bagging sheet
5.
Mix matrix
6.
Built composite structure on aluminum bagging sheet. Vinyl bagging maybe used
to help apply matrix.
7.
Vacuum bag structure and let matrix cure
8.
Remove structure and use cutting wheel to trim edges
9.
Ask an instructor to damage structure
10.
Repair structure
Note:Whenduringanyoperationthatwillcreatecompositedust,arespiratormustbe
worn.Avacuumshouldalsobeusedtocollectdust.
