Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
A minority business enterprise is defined as
business owners who are African American,
Hispanic American, Native American, Native
Alaskan, Asian Pacific and Subcontinent Asian
Americans (East Indian). Minority business
status requires 51% or greater owner-ship by
minorities as well as management and control
of daily business operations, with experience
or technical expertise directly related to the
primary product or service of the business.
Disabled-Veteran Business Enterprise
(DVBE)

A disabled-veteran business enterprise is
defined as a small business concern that is at
least 51% owned by one or more disabledveterans, or, in the case of any publicly
owned business, at least 51% of the stock is
owned by one or more disabled-veterans. In
addition, one or more disabled-veterans must
control the management and daily business
operations.
