Installing the Kurzweil 3000 Web Mac License
FROM FLASH DRIVE: Once you log onto your computer, insert the Kurzweil 3000 flash
drive into your USB drive, copy the Mac installer to your desktop and follow the instructions
from Page 2.
OR
In your browser, open the following link http://www.kurzweiledu.com/k3mac and follow
these instructions to download the Kurzweil 3000 v.14 (web license) installer to your Mac
desktop.
Make sure you click on the Kurzweil 3000 v14.0.16.web.dmg (web license) link to
download the installer.
Once you click on the above link, you will need to wait for the installer to download.

Depending upon your browser set up, the installer will appear on your desktop or in your
Downloads folder. Double-click on the K3000_14.0.16.web.dmg icon to open the
installer.
The following Kurzweil 3000 Web License window will open:

Drag the “Kurzweil 3000.app” to your Applications Folder to install.
Open your Applications folder and click on the Kurzweil 3000.app program. If you get the
following warning, go ahead and click on the Open button.
*You may want to drag the Kurzweil 3000.app program from the Applications folder into
your Dock so you can open it quickly.
You will need to log in with your assigned User Name: and Password: information.

Your program should look like the following:
If you haven’t used this Mac version, make sure you show your Kurzweil 3000 Reader on
your desktop. If it is not showing, go to the Menu Bar, click on Window to drop down the
Window menu and select Show Reader.

To Install the Read the Web Feature:
Double-click the Extras Folder in the Kurzweil 3000 Web license Installer window.
Double-click the Read the Web folder.
To install Kurzweil 3000's "Read The Web" extension, drag and drop "KESIReader.xpi" file
onto your Firefox application icon in your Applications folder.
