Power Systems, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL), or any other
manufacturer.

The Future of Cooper Power Systems Controls is Here
The Form 4D recloser control represents the future of Cooper controls — the first
in a platform of fully integrated controls developed by Cooper Power Systems.
The new control platform will offer many benefits to our customers:

Standardization: These controls will feature a standard look-and-feel
and one universal platform, ProView NXG, that will work with all Cooper
controls. This means one standard operating system and a consistent front
panel across all control products to train field technicians on — translating
to fewer training expenses, reduced inventory, and a distribution system
that is much easier to maintain.

Modular Communications: In addition to the flexible and user-friendly
platform, the new Cooper controls will include the communications
technology to take your system into the future. With fully modular
communication compatibility, the new controls will support cellular and
radio communications utilizing Serial and Network DNP3, Serial and
Network IEC 60870, IEC 61850, Modbus, and 2179 protocols. “Plug and
play” RS-232, fiber-optic, Ethernet, RS-485, and USB side-panel ports are
available for connection to SCADA or other devices.

The ProView software evolution: Evolving from the ProView software is
ProView NXG, a premier software that will feature one platform to program
all Cooper controls. This means only one program on your PC to enable
programming of all future recloser, regulator, and capacitor controls. Future
ProView NXG software versions will also be fully backward-compatible
with all previous ProView NXG software versions. Control parameters can
be programmed via personal computer using ProView NXG software and
then implemented on the control through communications or through the
front panel. New to the front panel is a USB port, allowing for temporary
and convenient connection to the control either with a USB cable or a USB
memory stick.

accepts a surcharge of $2000.00 for each control not returned in 90 days or if
returned in non-working condition.”
3.When your Form 4D control, PerForm 4D program letter, and packing list arrive,
prepare your retired control for shipment to Cooper Power Systems.
4.Follow the instructions in the letter to fill out the packing list.
5.Box up your retired control and attach the packing list to the outside. Follow the
shipping instructions outlined in the PerForm 4D program letter to send your retired
control back to Cooper Power Systems.
