Large-Scale Solar Integration Webinar to Educate on Trends
and Best Practices
Attend free, hour-long webinar, February 21, 2012, and learn from power experts
in the solar industry.
WAUKESHA, WI, February 17, 2012 – Fueled by strong federal and state policies, the U.S.
solar market will have doubled the amount of energy generation in 2011 with close to 1.8
gigawatts of photovoltaic (PV) systems have been installed across the country, up from 887
megawatts added in 2010. The integration of AC and DC electrical components, public and
private power generators, and commercial and industrial construction practices in the large
scale solar value chain has been challenging.
Cooper Power Systems, leader in electrical power delivery and reliability solutions for the utility,
commercial, and industrial markets, and Lectrus Corporation, the leading electrical systems
integrator in the U.S., have teamed up to host an hour-long webinar, ―Large Scale Solar Station
Integration: Trends & Best Practices,‖ designed to inform end users, engineers, and customers
about electrical integration practices in the solar market. The webinar, to begin 11:00 a.m. EST,
February 21, 2012, is designed to share trends and best practices resulting from the integration
of critical power distribution components – transformers, inverters, re-combiner boxes,
disconnect switches, conductors and terminations – both in the field and at the factory.
Speakers from Cooper Power Systems and Lectrus Corporation will review key considerations
in selecting suppliers, and will offer tips to write better specifications to improve the
procurement, design, construction, and delivery of prefabricated substation inverter skids and
enclosures.
The webinar will last 45 minutes, with a 15 minute question and answer period to follow.
