Cooper B-Line’s TOLCO™ Universal Sway Brace
Attachment, Figure 828, Now FM Approved
FM Approved Seismic Bracing Attachment Ideal for a Wide Range of Structural Members
HIGHLAND, IL June 11, 2012 – Cooper B-Line, a global provider of innovative, labor-saving support
systems and enclosure solutions for engineered facility subsystem applications, is happy to announce
that its innovative TOLCO™ Universal Sway Brace Attachment, Figure 828, is now Factory Mutual (FM)
approved. Designed for attaching seismic bracing to various structural members, the product is
compatible with all TOLCO seismic swivel fittings and fits steel structures ranging from 3/8” to 7/8”
thickness.
Available in carbon steel with a plain or electro-galvanized finish, the Universal Sway Brace, Figure 828,
is designed for a quick install and overall savings. Its labor saving design includes engineered break-off
head bolts for visual verification of proper installation and a stable three-point attachment.

The Universal Sway Brace Attachment, Figure 828, has been designed to permit a secure, non-friction
connection without drilling or welding. It offers a unique design that allows offset placement on Wide
flange beams, I-Beams, C-Channels, open web or welded steel trusses to secure the brace to its
structure either across or along the beam. It can be attached to various types of steel structural
members and accommodates all TOLCO Fig. 900 Series sway brace attachments.
