HIGHLAND, IL October 9, 2012 – Cooper B-Line, a global provider of innovative, labor-saving support systems and enclosure solutions for engineered facility subsystem applications, has developed an industry first with its One Hole Hanger & Restrainer, Figure 22L2. As the only single fastener solution available for supporting CPVC and IPS piping to concrete ceilings, the Fig 22L2 features flared edges to help protect plastic pipe, no compressive loading of the pipe, and is cULus listed as a hanger and restrainer per NFPA 13 requirements. The Figure 22L2 is designed to reduce installation time and allows for an easy, one-fastener attachment for CPVC and IPS systems to concrete ceilings. It is available in sizes ranging from ¾” to 2” and can support pipes vertically or horizontally for walls or ceilings. Thanks to its unique design, it also allows installers to mount closer to fittings and has no compression value on CPVC systems. “With the introduction of our new One Hole Hanger and Restrainer, we are able to provide installers with one hanger that can be used for both IPS and CPVC piping,” said Daniel Castillo, President of Cooper B-Line. “Additionally, by cutting the total components used in half, installers can save time and money. This industry first allows our end users to do more with less.” The Figure 22L2 provides the required load of 345 lbs for CPVC piping and five times the weight of water filled pipe (spacing used) plus 250 lbs for IPS Systems. It can also be installed into wood or steel making it a versatile choice for mechanical and fire sprinkler applications.
