New Hospital Grade Combination USB Charger with Duplex Receptacle Offers
Efficient, Convenient Charging Solution for Healthcare Market

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. … Eaton’s Cooper Wiring Devices continues to expand its portfolio
of innovative electrical industry offerings with the launch of its hospital grade Universal Serial
Bus (USB) Duplex Tamper Resistant (TR) receptacle. Designed for demanding commercial
applications, the new product eliminates the need for bulky, specialized adapters by including
two integrated USB charging ports rated at 2.1 amperes to quickly and efficiently charge a
range of electronic devices.

The new product was created to increase conveniences by providing the ability to charge
personal devices in a healthcare setting. The hospital grade USB TR receptacle brings the
comforts of home to a public medical facility, while seamlessly integrating into the tightly
regulated environment.
The device features pre-stripped wire leads for easy installation, a light-emitting diode (LED)
indicator light to notify users when a device is connected and several color options to

seamlessly integrate into any hospital environment. It also features tamper resistant shutters
designed to increase safety measures by resisting the insertion of foreign objects that could
result in electrical shock.
Additionally, the hospital grade USB Duplex TR receptacle is Underwriters Laboratories listed
for the U.S. and Canada (cULus) to 498 and 1310, File No. E15058 for installation in
healthcare settings per National Electric Code Articles 517.18 and 517.19.
