Dear Valued Customer:
Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems (Eaton) announces a price increase for 2014 effective
immediately across all product categories. The price increase will range from 1.0 – 5.0%.
Eaton delivers industry solutions helping you serve your customers reliably. We offer
solutions for storm response and storm hardening, reduced downtime, improved end-user
satisfaction, and enhanced automation and efficiency. In addition, Eaton supports
customers’ installed products with excellent technical service and an extensive inventory
of service parts. This price increase is required to continue offering new product
development initiatives, product enhancements, strong customer service standards, and
to ensure volatile market conditions are accounted for. Inflationary pressure has returned
in the second half of 2013 with the Commodity Metals Index up 5.7% and the Commodity
Energy Index up 5.0%.
The price increases by major product category are:
Service Parts
1-3% (effective April 1, 2014)
Key points related to these price changes:
Valid quotes with firm prices will be unaffected by this pricing action.
Eaton retains the right to adjust pricing outside the listed bands to correct errors or
meet market conditions.
Eaton will continue utilizing a price index model to communicate key material cost
changes on existing contracts.
The price index model will also be used for new contracts to offer a competitive
price while sharing risk against the volatility of commodities.
Eaton will honor open quotations and blanket proposals until the agreed upon
expiration date.
Thank you for your business and your continuing support of Eaton’s Cooper Power
Systems as we strive to exceed your expectations in product technology, service, quality
and program offerings.
