The price increase will range from 1.0 – 5.0%. Eaton delivers industry solutions helping you serve your customers reliably. We offer solutions for storm response and storm hardening, reduced downtime, improved end-user satisfaction, and enhanced automation and efficiency. In addition, Eaton supports customers’ installed products with excellent technical service and an extensive inventory of service parts. This price increase is required to continue offering new product development initiatives, product enhancements, strong customer service standards, and to ensure volatile market conditions are accounted for. Inflationary pressure has returned in the second half of 2013 with the Commodity Metals Index up 5.7% and the Commodity Energy Index up 5.0%. The price increases by major product category are: Components Equipment Service Parts Smart/Reliability 1-3% (effective April 1, 2014) 1-4% 1-3% 1-5% Key points related to these price changes: Valid quotes with firm prices will be unaffected by this pricing action. Eaton retains the right to adjust pricing outside the listed bands to correct errors or meet market conditions. Eaton will continue utilizing a price index model to communicate key material cost changes on existing contracts. The price index model will also be used for new contracts to offer a competitive price while sharing risk against the volatility of commodities. Eaton will honor open quotations and blanket proposals until the agreed upon expiration date.
