Eaton Announces Halo® Photo Contest in Support of ENERGY STAR® Program
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. … Power management company Eaton today announced that its
Cooper Lighting Division is now accepting entries for the first annual Halo® Photo Contest.
The competition hopes to bring awareness of light-emitting diode (LED) ENERGY STAR®
certified lighting fixtures and the benefits and achievements of the ENERGY STAR program.
“As an ENERGY STAR partner, we’re excited about how this competition will spread
awareness of the benefits of ENERGY STAR certified lighting fixtures like our Halo LED
retrofit downlighting products,” said Mark Eubanks, president, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting
Division. “As the first manufacturer to introduce an ENERGY STAR certified LED recessed
downlight five years ago, we know the ENERGY STAR program has led the way in helping
consumers save money and protect the environment by using energy-efficient products,
practices and services.”
The competition requires entrants to send in photos of their old lighting products with a
description as to why they would like to replace them. The most creative winning photo will
receive Halo LED products worth the retail value of $1,000. Two additional winners will be
randomly selected from all submitted photos to each receive products worth $500.
Entries must be emailed or postmarked on or before November 30, 2014, and winners will be
announced in December 2014. For full contest rules, visit www.cooperlighting.com/HaloPhotoContest.
Email entries to HaloEnergySavings@eaton.com or send to Eaton’s Cooper Lighting business at 1121
Highway 74 South, Peachtree City, Georgia, 30269.

ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) program that has been
helping businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior
energy efficiency for the past 20 years. An ENERGY STAR label means the light has
undergone rigorous testing and only the highest quality with the most energy-saving benefits
make the cut. If every household switched just one light socket to an ENERGY STAR
certified lighting product, consumers would save enough energy to light two million homes for
a whole year, save $460 million in annual energy costs and prevent six billion pounds of
greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to that of 550,000 cars.
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division delivers a range of innovative and reliable indoor and
outdoor lighting solutions, as well as controls products specifically designed to maximize
