Eaton Offers Convenience and Cost Savings with Portable, Battery-Operated
Wireless Switch for Residential Light Applications
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. … Power management company Eaton has introduced the latest
transportable switch for residential lighting from its Wiring Devices business. The batteryoperated switch is an extension to its radio frequency (RF) lighting control solutions and can
control up to five lighting solutions simultaneously from anywhere in the home, offering
customers convenience and cost-saving benefits.
“This switch offers unlimited flexibility in that customers can hold the device in their hand or
mount it to any wall surface to dim or turn lights on and off,” said Rohit Udavant, Product
Manager, Eaton’s Wiring Devices business. “The switch’s overall design is also ideal
because there is no need to mount the switch where electrical wires run, saving time and
money for those who want to install it, especially to remodel the lighting in a home.”
This convenient, battery-operated switch can connect wirelessly with up to five different
lighting control devices, enabling the user to control them with the singular switch. Once a
user initiates installation, the switch searches for installable devices and ultimately
synchronizes itself with them, allowing for remote control capabilities. Using Z-wave wireless
technology, the switch operates on a dedicated radio frequency ensuring that it does not
interfere with Wi-Fi or other wireless communications in the house.
Available in two different attractive styles, the device also comes with two-sided fixing tape
and wall anchoring capabilities.
