February 2015 CATSEARCH: THE EVERYTHING SEARCH FOR EVERYBODY Did you know that Renne Library has over 520,000 books in our collection, in addition to over 280,000 e-books, and over 20,000 serial subscriptions? Those kind of numbers open up a wide world for searching! Mon-Thurs 7 am– 2 am Friday 7 am– 8 pm Saturday 10 am– 5 pm You can use CatSearch as a guest… but signing into your personal account in the top right corner of your results page enables some really cool functions. Select your degree or interest groups to help tailor searches to what you really need. Notice the little star next to each result? Clicking on the star puts the resource on your e-shelf, saving it to your account (if you’re signed in) so that you can return to it later. Access your e-shelf in the top right corner of your screen. Guests can save to the e-shelf for that session. Saving a query: Maybe your search is part of a longer-term project. CatSearch lets users save a search to return to the results in the future. As a bonus feature, you can also set up alerts to get email notifications when new resources matching your criteria are found in the collection. 9 am– 2 am Administration 994-3119 Borrow Desk 994-3139 Interlibrary Loan 994-3161 Research Center 994-3171 Special Collections 994-4242 NEED RESEARCH HELP? www.lib.montana.edu/ask HAPPY FEBRUARY!
