Block 2 in Buenos Aires Costs: ~$3,800 - $4,000 Includes: airfare, in-country transportation, accommodations, and some meals Prerequisites: ECB 302 or ECB 223. Independent Study available for students in International Relations and other disciplines. The only prerequisite is instructor permission. Course Description: The “Paris of South America”, dynamic, cosmopolitan and culturally vibrant, Buenos Aires is a fascinating setting for studying the political economy of Argentina. A large, potentially wealthy country, Argentina has never lived up to its economic promise. We attempt to understand why by meeting local experts, taking field trips, and making site visits to businesses and financial institutions. There will be excursions outside Buenos Aires, and an opportunity to explore the city’s many cultural treasures. Contact: Professor A’amer Farooqi (ECB) Email: afarooqi@cornellcollege.edu.
