You can set two different “Out of Office” messages: one in reply to email from “Inside My Organization” and other in reply to email from “Outside My Organisation”. This gives you the flexibility of sending a different message to different groups of correspondents. 1. From the Tools menu choose Out of Office Assistant... 2. The Out of Office Assistance dialogue box appears 3. Click on the Send Out of Office auto-replies radio button 4. You can now choose, if your wish, to select the box underneath which reads Only send during this time range: and then choose your start and end times Tip! If you do not specify a start and end time, auto-replies will be sent until you explicitly turn off your Out of Office auto-reply by clicking Do not send Out of Office outlook2007-out-of-office.docx Confidential Page 2 of 4 UCL INFORMATION SERVICES DIVISION IT FOR SLMS auto-replies when you return to work. Note: Outlook notifies you when you have Out of Office auto-relies switched on. 5. On the Inside My Organization tab, type in your out of office message 6. To send auto-replies to those outside UCL (anyone who is not a live@UCL user), click on the Outside My Organization tab 7. Click on the check box Auto-reply to people outside my organization 8. Ensure the radio button Anyone outside my organization is selected 9. Type in your out of office message for external correspondents Tip! On the Outside My Organization tab, rather than sending an automatic rely to everyone that sends you a message while you are way, you can specify to reply to My Contacts only. Please note: The contact must exist in your live@UCL account. Click OK to save your changes 5 Turning off an Out of Office auto-reply 1. If you have an Out of Office auto-reply switched on, when you open Outlook 2007 a comment box that states Out of Office auto-replies are on is displayed 2.
