1. Minutes from previous meeting
Description
The tabled minutes were agreed as read.
2. Draft Terms of Reference
The draft terms of reference were reviewed and it was agreed that they would be amended to reflect the use of the Management Information (MI) Service in support of the operational management of the University
The terms of reference will be amended and presented at the next service board
3. Current Work
The list of work completed since the last service board was noted
4. Future work
A summary of the possible future developments was tabled.
The Service board agreed that MI team would continue to provide support for the
Student planning and load tools and that focus for development work would be the completion of the Admissions report and the Project 1.3 Dashboards
Des Butcher noted that he would seeking to make a presentation on the MI service capability, the service board stressed that the limited resource available should be identified in the presentation and the role of the service board in prioritising resource
5. Draft Service Metrics
The metrics tabled were reviewed, it was noted that the graph of the allocation of hours ran until the 19 th of February, not the 19 th of January as stated in the title of the graph. The Service board asked the the allocation of team members worked hours across projects be reported at future service boards
6. Draft Service Level Agreement
A draft service level agreement was tabled and was agreed.
The draft SLA will be added to the MI service area on the IT Services web site

7. Any Other Business
Web Single Sign-on
Des Butcher explained he had obtained a quotation for the integration of Web
Single Sign-on authentication with Cognos and the approximate cost was
$40,000. He felt this was to high to justify pursuing this and he service board agreed.
Organisational Data Structure
Des Butcher highlighted the issue of multiple organisation hierarchies across

University information Systems. He asked for nominations for colleagues ot contribute to the move toward an agreed set of organisational units and codes.
The Service board nominated Esther Zaccareli from the HR department
Service Board Composition
The Service board composition was reviewed and it was agreed that a senior academic administrator should be invited to join the board.
