Office Manager - Fall 2016-Winter 2017
Start Date: September 7, 2016 with mandatory DCI Staff training prior to state date (date TBD)

VISION Volunteer Center aims to provide students with the opportunity to engage with communities through holistic service opportunities, mutually beneficial community partnerships, and immersion programs that coincide with and enhance students' academic and personal goals.

Office Manager- Expectations/Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator of the VISION Volunteer Center the responsibilities for the Office Manager include but are not limited to:
● Maintain VISION email
● Update Listserv and send out weekly email to the Listserv
● Update Social Media regularly (approx.. bi-weekly)
● Maintain VISION website
● Plan and implement all aspects of various VISION programs as needed (these may include, but are not limited to, staff volunteer days, Community Conversations events,
Food Drives, Giving Trees, etc.)
● Assist individuals and groups with coordinating service activities (sites, education, etc.) as needed
● Represent VISION in various settings (Eaglepalooza, etc.)
● Attend weekly supervisory meeting with VISION coordinator and weekly staff meeting
● Other tasks as needed
Office Manager- Qualifications
Position Description/Office Manager/Fall2016-Winter 2017
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Community service, community engagement, and volunteer experience strongly preferred
● Passion for social justice
● Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each term
● Cumulative EMU GPA of 2.5 or greater (must be maintained throughout the duration of employment)
Hours and Compensation
Approximately 10 hours per week. Please note that you cannot work more than 10 hours per week in this position without first clearing it with the VISION Volunteer Center Coordinator.
$8.50/hr.
