Major Projects Coordinator- Expectations/Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator of the VISION Volunteer Center the expectations and responsibilities for the Major Projects Coordinator include but are not limited to: ● Plan and implement all aspects of large one-day service events (Community Plunge, MKL Day of Service, etc.)- taking on the specific role of coordinating on-campus efforts (i.e. recruitment, fund raising, etc. ) ● Plan and implement all aspects of various other VISION programs as needed (these may include, but are not limited to, staff volunteer days, Community Conversations events, Food Drives, Giving Trees, etc.) ● Assist individuals and groups with coordinating service activities (sites, education, etc.) as needed ● Represent VISION in various settings (Eaglepalooza, etc.) ● Attend weekly supervisory meeting with VISION coordinator and weekly staff meeting ● Other tasks as needed Major Projects Coordinator- Qualifications Position Description/Major Projects Coordinator/SPSU2016-Winter2017 ● ● ● ● ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills Community service, community engagement, and volunteer experience strongly preferred Passion for social justice Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each term Cumulative EMU GPA of 2.5 or greater (must be maintained throughout the duration of employment) Hours and Compensation Approximately 10 hours per week. Please note that you cannot work more than 10 hours per week in this position without first clearing it with the VISION Volunteer Center Coordinator. $8.50/hr.
