Minors in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences Environmental Science and Resource Management Minor The Minor in Environmental Science and Resource Management offers students majoring in a wide range of subjects exposure to the challenges facing terrestrial ecosystems, including their conserva on and restora on. Course work will provide a solid founda on for links to other fields of biology, environmental educa on, journalism, and public affairs. Minor Requirements: At least 25 ESRM credits, 20 of which must be upper division (300 or higher). 5 credits are allowed from BSE and lower division ESRM courses. Ecological Restora on Minor The minor in ecological restoration seeks to prepare students to address the complex rela onships of human communities
and ecological sustainability. The minor is a tri-campus initia ve (UW Bothell, UW Sea le, and UW Tacoma). Students may, but are not required to, take courses from more than one campus in order to earn the minor. For more information,

Minor Requirements: At least 25 credits as follows: ESRM 362/ENVIR 362(5); ESRM 462, ESRM 463, ESRM 464 (10 Credit capstone); and 10 credits of electives , including: (UW Sea le list) BIOL 117/315, BIOL/ESRM 331, ESRM 479, ESRM 411, ESRM 412, ESRM 425, ESRM 458, ESRM 472, ESRM 473, ESRM 480, or FISH 428; a 2.00 Cumula ve GPA in minor courses; 15 credits minimum from outside the declared major; and 15 credits completed at the UW. Any undergraduate student with at least sophomore standing (45 credits completed) who is declared in a major may declare a minor. To declare a minor, meet with your MAJOR department adviser.
