University Schools Gimbernat and

find audiovisual talent
Students of the Master of Multimedia Design will compete to
create the corporate video of the electrical distribution
company of Sant Cugat del Vallés
The CEO of Cyberall
Group, Dangel Salazar,
and the coordinator of
Multimedia Studies and
Postgraduate Training of
the School of Computing
Tomàs Cerdà, Manel
Taboada,
signed
a
cooperation agreement
in order to develop
educational
projects
jointly. The first project is
a competition that aims
to find audiovisual talent between students in the Master of Multimedia Design, taught
in the School of Computing.
As part of the Media Production course, taught by the teacher and producer of TVE,
Jordi Renú, ten students form multidisciplinary working groups will compete to create a
video clip for Cyberall Group. The best audiovisual product will be used by this
company as corporate image. Besides teaching qualification, winners will receive a
prize. There will also be a recognition of the most creative and technically the best. The
competition begins on Monday and ends on June 26 in a main event where there will
be the awards ceremony.
The contest is a recreation of a tender for an order of a company in real life. As in the
market, each group will perform an audiovisual composition that must have the best job
to get the contract offered by the company. So, they must meet the content
requirements and creativity required by the company. It is, therefore, a university
practice with a real approach that trains students to what they will found when they
finish their training.
.
Manel Taboada, Graduate Training Coordinator of the School of Computing Tomàs
Cerdà, gives high value that the context and environment in which students must do
the practical work of the course is real, competing with other groups (producers) and ts
having to respond to a request or real order that will select the best product among the
different proposals. "This is definitely ingredients that benefit both the learning process,
as the final results," said Taboada
The CEO of Cyberall Group, Dangel Salazar, has welcomed the willingness the
University Schools Gimbernat i Tomàs Cerdà has to develop this joint experience. In
addition, Salazar added that the competition is "a good way to bring closer the
university and the company, where everyone will benefit." In this sense, the
entrepreneur has highlighted the quality of the studies and the high level of the
students. "We have no doubt they will do a good job," said Salazar.
