UNDER CONSTRUCTION NorthPark Pond restoration project Dear Resident: August 2014 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services began construction in June. The contractor, Ferebee Corporation, is making steady progress on the proposed pond improvements, including: • Temporarily draining the pond and relocating the fish • Installing a 48” diameter temporary bypass pipe • Relocating the utility poles and power lines and • Maintaining the pond in a drained state as grading work and installation of the new pond outlet control structure continues. Construction is expected to be complete by March 2015. Once the grading and other activities are complete, vegetation will be established in the disturbed areas.
