NorthPark Pond
restoration
project
Dear Resident:
August 2014
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services began construction
in June. The contractor, Ferebee Corporation, is making steady
progress on the proposed pond improvements, including:
• Temporarily draining the pond and relocating the fish
• Installing a 48” diameter temporary bypass pipe
• Relocating the utility poles and power lines and
• Maintaining the pond in a drained state as grading work
and installation of the new pond outlet control structure
continues.
Construction is expected to be complete by March 2015. Once
the grading and other activities are complete, vegetation will be
established in the disturbed areas.
