Charlotte Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is expecting the bid phase to restart this fall. The consultant has resubmitted the construction documents for final review. During bid phase, competitive bids are taken from responsible contractors to perform the work. After City Council approval, the City awards the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder. Bid phase typically takes six months and construction for this project is estimated to take two years. Construction will start at the downstream end of the project at Hawthorne Lane and CSXT Railroad.
