Gaynor storm drainage improvement project May 23, 2012 YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held its third and final public meeting on May 1, 2012, at Trinity Presbyterian Church for the Gaynor Storm Drainage Improvement Project. The goals of this project are to reduce flooding of streets and structures, as well as reduce erosion along the stream and channel. for the improvements and to help control project costs. • A question and answer session was held. • Property owners and staff reviewed the project plans and discussed existing storm water issues, proposed improvements and easements required from property owners to construct the improvements. Meeting highlights: • Project Manager Corky Botkin welcomed the attendees, introduced the project team and explained the purpose and phases. • Corky Botkin introduced Steve Frey, City of Charlotte Real Estate Project Manager and the agents who will work with residents to acquire easements needed to construct and maintain the proposed improvements.
