Hurricane Season is Upon Us!
Stay safe during storms
Hurricane season is upon us. In CharlotteMecklenburg, tropical storms often bring storm
winds and flooding downpours. In the past
30 years, more than half of the US deaths
associated with hurricanes were due to inland
flooding.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg flood risks are
increasing because of changing weather
patterns and because of increased land
development.
