Mario is a telecommunications engineer with an international background. He currently works at Inmarsat in London and he is a member of the Regulatory Affairs and Market Access team which makes sure that the Company operates in the appropriate regulatory framework, both on a national and on an international basis. In his day-to-day activities, Mario provides studies and analysis to various regulatory fora (such as the ITU, CEPT and national regulators), mainly focusing on activities related to Inmarsat’s new “Global Xpress” programme. Mario has been a leading member of the CEPT group which led to the adoption of the European framework for ESOMPs and he is still active in the ITU-R WP 4A for developing the international framework for such systems. Mario holds a MSc. in Telecommunications Engineering awarded by the University of Pisa (Italy) and he is expected to obtain – later this year – an MSc. in Finance & Investment from Cass Business School, part of the London City University.
